The voice platform (for example Retell AI) handles the call and, through webhooks or an automation layer such as n8n, creates or updates the contact in GoHighLevel, adds notes or tags and can trigger GoHighLevel workflows such as follow-up texts or booking links.
Will an AI chatbot make things up?
It can if it is set up loosely. I ground assistants in your own information, keep their scope narrow, and give them a clear answer for anything outside it, usually a handoff to you. That keeps answers accurate and on-brand.
How much does it cost to run an AI assistant?
Running costs depend on conversation volume and the AI model used, and are usually modest for small businesses. I design with limits and caching so costs stay predictable, and I estimate them in the proposal.
